Gold Royal Blue

There is a blue that reads as a colour, and a blue that reads as a decision. A textured blue set under a gold bezel is the second kind.

A dial that moves with the light.

The blue dial is cut with a fine chevron pattern that catches the light in two directions at once, so the surface shifts from a deep navy to an open, lit blue as the wrist turns. Around it, a printed minute track counts in fives from 05 to 60, and the date sits in a clean aperture at three o'clock. No counters, no scales — the reading is the whole dial, and the gold hour markers have all the contrast they need.

The cushion case, uninterrupted.

Forty-two millimetres, softened at the corners, with a brushed rounded bezel set into a cushion-shaped case in gold-finish steel — and nothing standing off the flank but the crown. The bracelet flows straight from the case with no lugs and closes on a concealed folding clasp. Nine and a half millimetres thick: the profile a chronograph in this case could never reach, on the wrist of a man who does not need one.
